(ANSA) - MILAN, APRIL 16 - S&P Global expects a deeper global recession in 2020 due to the coronavirus.
"The economic impact of Covid-19 is longer and more intense than we thought and we again lowered our macro forecasts," says the US agency in a statement. The global economy is expected to contract by 2.4% this year, with the US falling by 5.2% and the Eurozone by 7.3%. The global economy is expected to rebound 5.9% in 2021.
