After announcing that Eurovision 2020 has been canceled in light of the Corona crisis, it now becomes clear that the final word has not yet been spoken.

It is now official: instead of the Eurovision Song Contest there will be an alternative and uncompetitive event, in which the participating countries will present the songs that were supposed to participate in the original competition.

The program, called "Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light," was produced by Dutch television and the EBU, and will feature postcards from each country, featuring various moments from artists' lives in recent months.

The show will also broadcast the 1997 British Eurovision hit, "Love Shine A Light" by Katrina & The Wave, featuring Eurovision 2020 artists, each recording and filming in his own country.

Citessa Becker, who was scheduled to produce the Eurovision Song Contest this year, said: "We want to make a program that will positively highlight not only the 41 artists who were scheduled to perform in Rotterdam, but also one that will inspire those in the home, and connect people from all over Europe, during these difficult times."

Eden Elena, of course, will be the one to represent the State of Israel in the show, which will air here on May 16 at 10pm. It will appear in a short section, like the other representatives of the countries, from the song chosen to represent us in the Eurovision song "Feker Libi".

Elena will represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, in a song to be chosen next year.

• "Since leaving home, I get threats to my life"

• "Hope we win": Asif Alkim and Adam's Spring are back

• The world's greatest artists in an unprecedented broadcast

• With gloves and masks: Jana and Zion made a covenant for their son

• Special: Performances, plays and sessions for the Corona days
