Kind and reserved at 97 years old, Alda Baroni is still every day dispensing medicine behind the counter of her pharmacy , even in times of coronavirus. "Work is my life, and mine is the beacon in these years has always been my father's teaching, that is, education and kindness", explains the owner of the only pharmacy in Chianni, a small town in the province of Pisa, in a shrill voice .

   Born in 1923, graduated in the post-war period and pharmacist since 1948, after 72 years spent in the pharmacy, at this time of health emergency she could stay at home, since she falls within the sections of the population at greatest risk. But she continues to go to work every day, from 9 to 13, and from 16 to 20, in the company of her poodle.

The best memories of the profession? "When the galenic preparations were still being made in the pharmacy and I got up at night because they called me home for emergencies.
