(ANSA) - GENOA, APRIL 22 - Eight patients and 4 healthcare workers from the Lavagna hospital tested positive after being forty-one years old in the medical ward with bilateral coronavirus pneumonia but who had previously had a negative diagnosis. The man had in fact been sent home by the Covid department of Sestri Levante after a negative swab; then he had entered the Lavagna hospital, in a no-covid ward, where he died. The tests made established that it was positive. The medicine department has been cleared and sanitized. The man residing in Chiavari was a highly regarded mechanic in a motorcycle workshop before being immobilized due to a stroke. In recent days, he has been feeling ill and at the hospital he has been diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia. After two negative swabs to the Coviddi Sestri Levante ward he was sent home, but the family doctor insisted and hospitalized him in Lavagna to cause him pneumonia. But the man is dead.
