(ANSA) - MILAN, APRIL 27 - The Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, arrived with a mask in the Milan Prefecture, the initial stage of his first visit to Lombardy since the coronavirus emergency broke out. Conte met the prefect of Milan, Renato Saccone, the mayor Giuseppe Sala, the president of the Lombardy region Attilio Fontana, and CarloBonomi, recently appointed president of Confindustria. At the end of the meeting, Conte will travel to Bergamo and Brescia.
"This is not the time to give up, this government - said the premier - does not seek consensus but to do the right things, even if this must displease a large number of citizens".
"We have introduced some slack but it is clear that we cannot give up at this stage."
