For three minutes, the musician played the notes of Gabriel's Oboe , a theme composed by Ennio Morricone for the film Mission released in 1986. But also an extract from the soundtrack of Cinema Paradiso as well as Fratelli d'Italia , the transalpine hymn. Called "Hearing in Cremona" , the initiative was proposed by the tourist agency Pro Cremona, wishing to support its caregivers and patients.

"Looks at the sky. The tears. Applause. For a moment, the sound of the violin replaced the sirens of the ambulances. To let everyone know we're here. To let everyone know that Cremona continues to fight, " wrote the agency in description of the video posted on its YouTube channel.

Radio Classique reports, however, that the show did not amaze everyone. First, Lena Yokoyama is accused by Internet users of having endangered the health of caregivers, the sick and, of course, hers. The red dress and the rest of the outfit chosen by the musician were also deemed inadequate.

The musician was quick to respond to her detractors on social networks. "It seems that some people are worried about this whole affair, so I will answer the questions I have already seen. I wore a mask correctly, except during the performance. The mask was removed after the departure of other members of the personnel , she wrote in words translated and reported by the site Slippedisc .

Playing in a red dress was a request from the hospital. Red is a symbol of love and passion.

“I was making a promotional video to raise funds for the hospital around Cremona. It's safe outside. Playing in a red dress was a request from the hospital. Red is a symbol of love and passion, ” she added, indicating that she left immediately after the performance, without meeting those who listened to her from the outside.

In early April, Lena Yokoyama had already interpreted Charles Gounod 's Ave Maria at the top of "Torrazzo", the bell tower of Cremona cathedral.
