In addition, Nintendo is apparently preparing to introduce a known feature from the previous title "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" for Nintendo 3DS. One of the next updates could make it available.
"Animal Crossing: New Horizons" code contains references to slumber house
The Dataminer Ninji has revealed on Twitter that he found specific references to the slumber house in the code (via GamePro). This is a feature in "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" you can visit other players' cities without having to leave your own. In order to pay a visit to other locations, it is also not necessary for the corresponding user to be online. The city is, so to speak, visited in the "dream".
However, one cannot interact, that is, shopping, taking items or other adjustments are not possible. The only purpose is that players can look at each other's creations and be inspired by them. To enable the dream visit of the other players, the city just has to be uploaded and a snooze address created.
This feature could possibly follow soon in "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" *. Instead of the cities, it would be the islands of the players that can be visited.

Code for slumber house has been available since release
Ninji explains that he already came across a "DreamID " in the release version code . So far, however, this has not been used in the game. The changes in the last update also make Dataminer suspect that the slumber house is coming back.
However, Ninji's discoveries are by no means a guarantee that the slumber house will be introduced in "Animal Crossing: New Horizons". Nintendo can adjust the code again. So it can only be said with certainty that the function actually comes when this is officially confirmed.
