(ANSA) - LONDON, MAY 1 - The number of deaths in Great Britain has risen slightly in the past 24 hours compared to yesterday: 739 while yesterday 674 deaths were recorded. The overall death toll from the start of the pandemic is 27,510.
As promised, Britain has reached, or even exceeded, the target of 100,000 tests per day by the end of April. Health Minister Matt Hancock announced that "122,347 tests were conducted in the country on Thursday". "An incredible result," commented Hancock.
