(ANSAmed) - SOFIA, MAY 1 - In Bulgaria in the last 24 hours 53 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded (11 in the capital Sofia): the overall contagion balance thus rises to 1,541.
A total of 317 patients are hospitalized, 40 of whom are in intensive care. There is a new death, for a total of 66 victims. There are six new cases of contagion among the medical staff, with the budget rising to 170.
At a press conference this morning, the Health Emergency Crisis Unit informed that an analysis is underway for the possible abolition of the obligation to wear sanitary masks outdoors.
All initiatives in public places have been abolished in the country on the occasion of the feast of May 1st, traditionally organized by the Bulgarian Socialist Party (Bsp).
