Di Maio, Italians ask for work, health

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 1 - "Today is May 1st, the day of all the workers, and I would like to send you my greetings with what were the words of President Sandro Pertini. 'The Italians are a generous, hard-working people, they do not ask for work, a home and to be able to take care of the health of his loved ones. He therefore does not ask for heaven on earth. He asks what every people should have. "These words today take on an even more important value, at a time when we are facing one of the most difficult chapters of the our story".

    "A time in which many families and workers fear for their future and also for their present. Today, May 1, on Labor Day - continues Di Maio - we have a duty to tell us that these concerns cannot and will not remain unheeded. Work is a sacrosanct right for every human being, a right guaranteed by our Constitutional Charter ".
