(ANSA) - SEUL, MAY 1 - North Korean leader Kim Jong-un appeared in public after three weeks of speculation about his health condition. Kim, according to reports from the Korean agency KCNA, cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony of a fertilizer factory on Friday. Kim had not appeared in public since the Workers' Party politburo meeting on April 11. Media indiscretions, during his absence, had given him seriously ill or even died following a delicate surgery. However, rumors have always been denied by Seoul, who had talked about fake news, ensuring that he had never noticed anything unusual on the border with the North.
