(ANSA) - TEHERAN, MAY 2 - A senior Iranian leader condemned today the decision announced in recent days by Germany to have included the Lebanese pro-Iranian movement Hezbollah among the "terrorist" organizations, banning all activities on German soil.
"A new surprise, the suppliers of weapons of destruction for ex Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein have become human rights defenders and call the Hezbollah resistance movement 'terrorist' out of fear of their Israeli children-killing friends," he said in a tweet. Ali Shamkhani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Tehran. Iran accuses many of Germany of having supplied chemical weapons to Saddam Husse during the war with Iran from 1980 to 1988.
"The mask of the main supporters and sponsors of terrorism has fallen," adds Shamkhani, saying that Hezbollah fought Isis by preventing it from reaching Europe.
