(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, MAY 3 - All June Gay Pride events in Israel, including the week in Tel Aviv, were postponed to the end of summer due to the coronavirus. The organizers announced it today.
The demonstrations in Tel Aviv - one of the most open cities in the gay movement - are considered to be among the largest in the world and the first in Asia: about 250 million people attended last year. Gay Parade in Haifa, Jerusalem and Beer Sheva were also on the program.
According to the media, alternatively 'virtual events' will be organized on the civil rights of the LGBT communities and also on solidarity with the medical personnel engaged in the fight against the virus.
