"When it happens, we have to increase sanitary control, but yes, we must start having social and productive activities that are necessary in any society," he said in dialogue with América 24, about a possible relief from quarantine in the country.
In this regard, he clarified that the decision will not be his, but the President's, but he also passed the ball to those responsible for each of the provinces. "We have shared this before with the jurisdictions and they have decided that it was not the time . The local jurisdiction knows very well what is happening in that place," he said.
"We give priority to the epidemiological situation. There are many jurisdictions that are opening up, and it is logical : three quarters never had circulation of the virus or imported it," he added. And he said that the opening of the activity, when it occurs, will be "according to geography, not just epidemiology."
Likewise, he clarified that "many safeguards must be taken when that happens" and he did not want to assure if it will be from Monday, May 11.
"One cannot think of life with a permanent quarantine. It is a necessity to have social activity, but what cannot happen is that there is a social behavior that exceeds the general indication, we must be very vigilant. We have to have looks like those we have been having, "he assured.
In addition, he said that what worries him "is public transport , " he assured that it is "more important than what happens inside the factories" and he lowered his thumb to a soon return from classes.
