The national Ministry of Health confirmed this Sunday four new deaths from coronavirus, bringing the number of fatalities to 241 .
In the daily report, Alejandro Costa, undersecretary of Health Strategies, confirmed the number of deaths and added that there are 4,681 people who have contracted the disease since the start of the pandemic.
The official also reported that 169 people are in intensive care and that 1,453 patients were discharged.
Regarding the fatalities, Costa indicated that 60% are men, 40% are women and that the average age is 75 years. However, the average age of those infected falls to 43 years.
For her part, Carla Vizzotti, Secretary for Access to Health, referred to an increase in testing in all laboratories in the country. He said that 65 thousand tests have already been carried out , of which 1,947 were carried out in the last 24 hours. Thus, Argentina reached 1,450 tests for every million inhabitants.
