(ANSA) - TEHERAN, MAY 3 - Iran has decided to cancel this year because of the coronavirus the demonstrations for the annual international day of Qods (Jerusalem, from the Arab Al-Quds), which was supposed to be held on May 22, in the Last Friday in Ramadan, in support of the Palestinians and against Israel: the Guardians of the Revolution announced that they predict that there will be online initiatives, including a speech by the supreme guide, Ayatollah AliKhamenei.
"As many other religious ceremonies and sites have been closed to counter the spread of the virus, so there will be no public earthquakes for Qods day this year," said Jan. Ramezan Sharif, Pasdaran spokesman, adding that, when the country is suffering from the disease, "we should not care about the enemies".
