All over the territory, gatherings of more than 10 people will be prohibited from May 11, the date of deconfinement.

Every day, Le Parisien is mobilized to answer your questions around the coronavirus. Today we are interested in the questioning of "Gres", who asks us what he risks if he organizes a large gathering at his place.

From May 11, all gatherings of more than 10 people will be prohibited. Matignon confirms to us that this will be the rule for "the whole territory", not only in the departments classified in red.

Contacted via its chat platform on May 1, the national police added that this ban would apply "everywhere", even in private places. Law enforcement officials could be called upon to carry out checks if they suspect that an offense has been committed on property, for example.

What fine?

It remains to be seen what the fine will be. For this, it will be necessary to wait for the publication of the decree inscribing black on white which will be prohibited, including gatherings of more than 10 people. The amount could be 135 euros (and 200 euros in the event of recidivism within fifteen days), as is already in force for non-compliance with containment measures since March 17.

A dozen people barbecue in the Oise on March 19, for example, had to pay 1600 euros in total.
