The cycling season that will be after the upheaval due to the coronavirus emergency is under study. Sources close to the International Cycling Union confirm that tomorrow the 2020 calendar will be published, redesigned by the pandemic, which foresees the dispute of the three great Tours in 71 days and the Classic monuments placed during the three-week races, in order to complete the World calendar Tours over three and a half months.
The Tour de France will take place on the announced dates (29 August-20 September), the Giro d'Italia from 3 to 25 October and the Vuelta di Spagna from 20 October to 8 November, but in 18 stages.
Another aspect to consider will be the coincidence of the Classics monument with the Grand Tours: Liège and Flanders will be staged during the Giro, the Paris-Roubaix during the Vuelta.
Finally, the World Championships remain from 20 to 27 September.
