Eduardo Martí, the Cordovan who became famous overnight after winning 44 million pesos in the Quini 6 and organizing a massive party to celebrate it, in October 2019, died this Sunday after suffering a stroke.

According to La Voz del Interior , the man, 58 years old and employed in the Cordovan courts of Villa Dolores, had been hospitalized in a clinic in Córdoba for several days and could not recover.

Her name had risen to fame last year as if by magic. Martí won the millionaire prize and, far from hiding, he gave journalistic notes and organized a full blast party for his longtime friends, with a cumbia show included.

" I have more friends than ever . And you pick up a tile and a creditor comes out," Eduardo laughed at the media.

The lucky numbers were 03, 10, 11, 20, 25, and 30 . "I was watching a television program of the Pope who had canonized a new saint. I do not remember the name, but the journalist who narrated said that we had to ask the new saint because they are very miraculous. And deep down inside I asked him to make me win the Quini ", Eduardo had said.

However, not everything was rosy in those days. A co-worker named Victoria Castellano claimed part of the money because she said she had gambled with him.

According to his version, both were regular Quini gamblers, but that day the obligations within the courthouse prevented him from making his move, so he asked Eduardo to play for her. The man agreed, and next to the Quini ticket ordered by Castellano, another of the Lotus played. In order not to confuse them, he named them: he named his girl "girls", because the numbers had been chosen by the daughters of Castellano, and he called his own as "Edu".

Finally, after avoiding misunderstandings, both decided to share the award , although Castellano avoided showing himself in public, perhaps out of fear or to preserve his anonymity. Nor did he go to the party that Martí organized.
