Are you annoyed by reheated food that is dry and bland or just doesn't taste good? From now on, do it right!

It can't really be rocket science, can it? Microwave on, plate in, microwave on, switch on, wait and you're done. If you want to be a professional, first moisten the food with a few splashes of water or place a damp kitchen towel over it so that it doesn't dry out. But by no means all dishes can be warmed up in the microwave. You can find out here which dishes you prefer to warm up in the oven and how this works best.

Warm up the casserole without a microwave

Wet the casserole with a few splashes of water . The steam generated when heated prevents the casserole from drying out. Then cover the dish well with aluminum foil and warm the casserole at 160 degrees in the oven. Check the temperature in the middle of the casserole because it stays cold the longest.

How to properly heat fried chicken

Place the chicken pieces on a baking sheet  and cover them with aluminum foil. Warm them up at 190 degrees for about ten minutes and then remove the aluminum foil. Continue baking until the skin is crispy again and the chicken parts are fully warmed.

Warming up pizza: this way it stays crispy

If you want to heat up several pieces of pizza , the oven is the best choice. Simply place them on a baking sheet and warm the pieces at 190 degrees until the cheese has melted again.

Warm up pizza in the pan

If you just want to heat up a slice or two of pizza , you'd better do it in the pan  . Place the pizza without oil in the pan and cover the parts with aluminum foil. Now warm the whole thing over medium-high heat until the cheese has melted.

Warm up the pasta

You can simply warm up pasta without sauce in boiling water . Depending on the variety, this only takes 30 to 45 seconds.

Pasta in a cheese or cream sauce is not easy to warm up because the sauce splits easily and the dish becomes greasy. Place the pasta in a pan over medium heat and add some of the fat you originally used to cook, i.e. oil or cream . Stir continuously until the dish is hot.

It's much easier to heat up pasta with tomato sauce . Simply put the liquid in a saucepan and warm it up over medium heat. If the pasta has absorbed too much of the sauce, just add a few sprinkles of water. But then it may be that you have to season up.

Warming up fries: crispy and delicious

It is quite difficult to reheat fries so that they are still crispy and taste good. The easiest way to do it is to put some oil in a pan and heat it until it blisters. Put the chips in and fry the pieces until browned and crispy. Then place them on a kitchen towel to soak up excess fat. You may have to add a little more salt.

Warm up the meat in the oven and pan

Harmful microorganisms can multiply quickly on meat , so it is particularly important that it is heated well. In the microwave, it is usually only warmed unevenly. So choose the oven or the pan .

It is best to cut the meat into thin slices and fry them in a pan with a little oil or water over medium heat until browned and well-heated. In the oven, you can put it on a baking sheet and heat it at 160 degrees . It needs to reach a core temperature of 75 degrees for at least two minutes so you can enjoy it without regrets.
