National Pride: The prestigious Newsweek Magazine published Monday's list of the world's best hospitals, and there is room to take pride in the Israeli health system. According to the list, compiled by the information management firm Statitesta, the Sheba hospital in Tel Hashomer is the ninth hospital in Tibo in the world, an increase of one place from last year - then stood at the tenth place in the world.

Another Israeli hospital that can take its place on the honorable list is the Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, which reached 34th place after not appearing on the list last year. This is the second year the magazine publishes the list.

The best-known hospital in the world is the Mayo Clinic Hospital located in Minnesota, USA, where both hospitals in the second and third places are American - Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland and Massachusetts General Hospital. In fourth place was Toronto General Hospital Canada and in fifth place Berlin University Hospital, the first non-North American hospital. 

Eighteen of the world's best hospitals, according to the list, are in the United States, with hospitals from Germany, the United Kingdom, France and South Korea starring as well.
