A mysterious donor said that she was going to buy 7,000 masks from a Charente-Maritime company so that they could be distributed to the population of this city near Angoulême, according to La Charente Libre . If the local newspaper does not reveal her identity, this woman is not in her first act of generosity. Each year, it offers the canteen to all the pupils of the city.
"A hell of a budget"
"It is a generous help, which she did not want to talk about," comments Fabienne Godichaud, the mayor of Saint-Michel, before adding: "I believe that each mask costs 4 €, it's quite a budget. They are standard masks made of fabric and reusable ”.
According to Ouest-France, the benefactor inherited a former winner of the EuroMillions lottery which in 2009 had won 50 million euros. He himself had offered some 400,000 euros for the renovation of the town hall square. The man is now deceased but his heiress continues his action in favor of the city.
