After the deconfinement plan was unveiled by Edouard Philippe and the rest of the government on Thursday, several practical questions remain unanswered. The Parisian mobilizes to respond. We are particularly interested in René's questioning: “I have a medical appointment scheduled for May 11 at the hospital, 117 kilometers from my home, before being hospitalized on May 19. Will I be able to go there? "
Yes, you will be able to go to this appointment, because the travel limit of 100 kilometers applies to non-professional or non-driving trips. In other words, you can exceed this limit to go to work, to help a vulnerable loved one, or, as in this case, to undergo a medical consultation.
"With regard to interregional or interdepartmental travel, […] we want to reduce this travel solely to compelling professional or family reasons, for obvious reasons of limiting the circulation of the virus", had already explained Édouard Philippe during the first presentation of his plan for deconfinement at the Assembly.
"It will again be possible to move freely, without certification, except, as I said, for trips more than 100 kilometers from home which will only be possible for compelling reasons, family or professional," he continued .
For these trips, remember to bring supporting documents in the event of an inspection. If you take the train, remember to bring a mask.
