The 700 temporary workers who were to join the Renault factory in Sandouville (Normandy) on Monday will remain at home. Just like the 900 employees expected to support the 1,000 pairs of arms already present since the end of April on the automaker's site.

At the end of an interim procedure initiated on April 24, the CGT obtained on Thursday from the Havre court the temporary - and immediate - closure of the Renault factory specializing in the production of Trafic commercial vehicles. The reason: not the health conditions of work on the site - it is still at a standstill at the start of the procedure -, but formal defects in the information-consultation obligations preceding the resumption. In particular an invitation (by email) apparently not received by the CGT, and therefore absent at the local meetings of the CSE, as well as the health and safety committee.
