(ANSA) - MILAN, MAY 8 - Reinforced controls in the Navigli area in Milan, which ended up at the center of controversy over yesterday's gatherings, with the mayor Giuseppe Sala who today threatened to close the area. In Piazza XXIV Maggioci there are two local police cars, one of the police and one of the finance guards, with the agents who patrol the Darsena on foot. Police and policemen also go up and down the two banks of the Naviglio Grande, where the premises begin to open for takeaway aperitifs (many with signs that recommend avoiding gatherings) but customers are still in short supply.
Puzzled one of the restaurateurs who yesterday called the forces of the order for the itinerant hut around which a crowd of about fifty people was created: "So the Naviglis seem militarized, four police officers were enough"
