Every day, Le Parisien mobilizes to answer your questions around the new coronavirus. Today we are interested in Dominique's questioning, which asks us if a certificate is necessary to travel privately outside rush hour.
As indicated by the Minister of Ecological Transition Elisabeth Borne this Thursday, May 7, an attestation from the employer will be required to use public transport in Île-de-France during peak hours (from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at 7:30 p.m.). It is also still allowed if you have a compelling reason for traveling, such as a medical visit, a summons to attend court or childcare.
Apart from these most frequented slots, all movements are authorized whatever the reason and no certificate will be necessary, provided that the journey does not exceed 100 km as the crow flies.
The employer certificate during peak hours only concerns Île-de-France. But Edouard Philippe warned that this device could be extended to other cities or other territories if ever the epidemic situation worsened there again.
