2020-05-10T14:45:04.877Z

Yes. The Interior Ministry has made this clear for several days: all "exiles" can go home.

Every day Le Parisien mobilizes to answer your questions around the coronavirus. Today, a question from Carmen: “I have been confined to my daughter's home in the Hauts-de-Seine since March 16. Can I return to my home in the Hautes-Pyrénées? " Even if the government did not specifically mention this case Thursday evening when presenting the deconfinement measures, yes, it is possible to reach his home from May 11.

This information was given by Christophe Castaner, Minister of the Interior, from May 3. All the "exiles", these people who have chosen or undergone a place of containment other than their home can find it: "When they left, they had the right to leave. We do not forbid the French to return to their main home to resume their work or send their children to school from May 11 onwards ”.

Compelling family motif

Even if your home is more than 100 km from your place of containment. For travel, however, you will need to complete a certificate for compelling family reasons. If your primary accommodation is within 100 km as the crow flies from your place of containment, you do not even need a certificate.

Please note, if you plan to reach your home by public transport, two rules must be followed: book your ticket and don't forget your mask. This will be mandatory from Monday in all public transport under penalty of a fine of 135 euros.
