A few days ago there was a first indication of an upcoming announcement on Twitter on the official account of "Mafia". The fans speculated exactly how this will look. Today was the day: Publisher 2K officially announced "Mafia: Trilogy".
"Mafia Trilogy": New edition of all three parts announced
In addition, a first short teaser was published, which does not reveal much in itself. Apparently, all three games of the "Mafia" series will appear as a new edition with improved graphics. More details will follow in the next few days. At the end of the trailer it is said that the concrete announcement with further information will take place on May 19 .

"Mafia": How the game differs from "Grand Theft Auto"
The first part of the " Mafia " series appeared in 2002. The gameplay is based on "Grand Theft Auto" *. In the first part, players take on the role of Thomas "Tommy" Angelo, who works as a taxi driver in the fictional US city of Lost Heaven and gets caught between the fronts of two mafia families.
You can move freely in the game world and, unlike "GTA" *, the vehicles have a petrol tank that empties over time. In addition, the players are followed by the police in the event of minor violations of the law, such as speeding or crossing red lights . The police don't arrest Tommy right away. If the player cooperates, he gets away with a fine. These details distinguish the original "Mafia" from 2002 from "GTA 3" or "GTA Vice City", which also appeared during this period.
Two sequels followed with " Mafia 2 " (2010) and " Mafia 3 " (2016). The last part, unlike the first two, took place in the southern United States. Fans can look forward to the innovations that the announced "Mafia: Trilogy" will offer. The first part in particular is getting on in years, which is why a graphical refurbishment would definitely be worthwhile. The "Mafia: Trilogy" should appear for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
