This Wednesday the new numbers of coronavirus cases in Argentina were known. According to the Ministry of Health of the Nation, in the last 24 hours 10 infected and 316 deceased were confirmed.
The main age groups affected by the registered cases correspond to people between 20 and 59 years old, with the average age being 41 years.
During the course of Tuesday, 2,927 new samples were carried out and since the start of the outbreak, 90,474 diagnostic tests were carried out for this disease, which is equivalent to 1,993.8 samples per million inhabitants.
Earlier this Wednesday, the Minister of Health, Ginés González García, referred to the continuity of the quarantine and spoke about how the situation in the country is maintained today.
“Despite being a hypertechnological century, we have a remarkable level of uncertainty. And much of what is said, the next day is not valid. It has a certain similarity to a hope or a riddle, "explained the official.
"This is going to be long, success today is not not having it, success is controlling it and that no one is left without attention because the health system was overcome. That part we have achieved. The Health system was very fragile and today it has more than 21 thousand more beds than it did 40 days ago. The development that we have had is very strong ”, he highlighted.
In the last hours, a new change was also known in the definition of a suspected coronavirus case.
From now on, for health workers, residents and workers in closed or long-term institutions such as penitentiaries and nursing homes and inhabitants of popular neighborhoods and native towns, it will not be exclusive not to have a fever and it will be enough to have two or more of the other symptoms known to be able to access the PCR test that detects the virus.
Symptoms to consider are fever (37.5º or more), cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, and loss of smell and taste.
