FRANCE - The Sanctuary of Lourdes in the French Pyrenees, a pilgrimage destination for millions of people every year, will partially reopen its doors from next Saturday "for the individual pilgrims of the region": the Shrine announced it today. The Grotto, where according to the Catholic religion the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette in 1858, will not be directly accessible to visitors, the Sanctuary's communication service announced. The facility closed its doors on March 17 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. It was the longest closure in the history of the Sanctuary.

The government has made it known, according to the newspaper El Pais. At the same time 439 new cases were registered. Overall, 27,104 people have died in the country since the start of the pandemic, out of 228,691 cases. 140,823 people were healed.

UNITED KINGDOM - The reopening of some sectors of the British economy - from construction to part of the manufacturing industry - to a partial return to work, allowed among the limited lockdown changes announced these days by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the framework of a road map which largely postpones Phase 2 of the coronavirus emergency to no earlier than the next two months. The signs are of a new increase in turnout in public transport, despite Johnson's recommendation to avoid using it "as far as possible", with little spacing - especially in the London Underground and buses during peak times - and with many without the mask now prescribed. A climate that has prompted the Minister of Transport, Grant Shapps, to appeal to continue using at least meters, buses or trains because it is still "a life or death situation".

The situation in Mexico is also dynamic, where the confirmed cases of Covid-19 are 38,324 and the deaths 3,926, a very high number compared to the infected. The wrestler had tested positive on April 10 and his condition had worsened nine days later, local media reported, so much so that urgent hospitalization in intensive care in a Tokyo hospital was necessary. Shobushi, who is also the first victim of Covid-19 in Japan between the ages of 20 and 30, turned professional in 2007. His coach and training partner also turned out to be positive but their conditions are improved and have already left the hospital. The great sporting event linked to Japan's national sport, the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament - which was to take place in the capital at the end of May in the famous Ryogoku Kokugikan, was canceled due to fears of the spread of the virus.
