(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 17 - The number of coronavirus victims in Italy has risen to 31,908, with an increase compared to yesterday of 145. The increase had been 153 on Saturday. The figure was reported by the Civil Protection. The total number of infected people, which includes the currently positive, the dead and the recovered, rises to 225,435, recording the lowest increase in months: yesterday the increase had been 875, today 675. The people who are currently ill are 68,351, 1,836 less yesterday, when the drop was 1,883. The healed and idimessi rise to 125.176, with an increase of 2.366 compared to yesterday, when the increase had been 2.605. While 762 people are hospitalized in intensive care for coronavirus, 13 fewer than yesterday. Of these, 255 are in Lombardy, 13 fewer than yesterday. On the other hand, 10,311 hospitalized with symptoms, with a negative response to 89 yesterday while the patients in home isolation were 57,278, down from 1,734 compared to yesterday.
