(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 20 - From June 2, Alitalia will restore the non-stop connection between Rome and New York, flights with Spain (Rome-Madrid and Rome-Barcelona) and direct connections between Milan and Southern Italy. This was announced in a note from the Company, specifying that it will make a total of 36 percent more devoli than in May, operating 30 routes from 25 airports, of which 15 in Italy and 10 abroad. And the company expects activity to grow to around 40% of what was planned before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic for the third quarter of 2020. We read it in a note that the supply of flights will increase in function of the trend in demand, which already today allows us to glimpse a recovery on some domestic routes, and benefits from the progressive abolitions by foreign countries of restrictions on flights and passengers from Italy , as well as lower guidelines that discourage travel to our country.
