The largest, from Versailles to Sceaux, are still suspended from the evolution of the coronavirus. Some parks and castles within a hundred kilometers around Paris reopen these days to visitors on the occasion of the Ascension Bridge.

Among them, the Château de Chantilly, in the Oise, north of Paris, will open its doors from Thursday. But for the moment neither the park nor the Grandes Écuries will be accessible. Visitors will be able to enjoy the beautiful exhibition of drawings and engravings, which was inaugurated shortly before confinement, "Raphaël à Chantilly. The master and his pupils ”.

The Chaalis Abbey, near Ermenonville, also in the Oise, also benefits from the administrative green light and opens on Thursday. Similarly, the private domain of Vaux-le-Vicomte received the green light from the prefecture of Seine-et-Marne. "By limiting the number of visitors to 1000 (for an area of 400 hectares, or an area of 4000 m2 per visitor)", notes the family of Vogüé, owner.

10,000 flowers distributed to visitors

As the famous Parterre of the Superintendent of Finance Nicolas Fouquet could not be planted, the 10,000 flowers to be delivered to the Ascension will be distributed free of charge to visitors.

In Seine-Saint-Denis, without castle or particle this time, it is the Georges-Valbon park - 410 hectares in the cities of La Courneuve, Saint-Denis, Stains and Dugny - which has reopened since May 14. It is the largest of the eight parks in the department, a real green lung in a densely populated area.

The most famous parks around Paris are still inaccessible. This is the case of the huge park and the Palace of Versailles (Yvelines) as well as the Domains of Saint-Cloud (Hauts-de-Seine), Sceaux, Fontainebleau, until further notice.
