(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 21 - Against cyberbullying, Twitter stating a new function that will allow users to limit the reception of unpleasant messages, deciding who can reply to their tweets. This was announced in a post product director of Twitter, Suzanne Xie, who had already anticipated the news last January at the Ces of LasVegas.
Once a tweet has been written, and before publishing it, the user can choose between three options: they can all reply as usual, only the people that the user follows or only those mentioned in the message. All microblog goers will still be able to read, like and share tweets.
The new feature is just the latest in a series of new features put in place to foster a civil and profitable conversation on Twitter. A few months ago, the platform began to agree to hide unwanted and unwelcome tweets, while in recent weeks it began to warn users that they are writing tweets with offensive words, suggesting that they change their way of speaking.
