The release of "Grand Theft Auto 5" was seven years ago. Fans are already waiting for the next part, but "GTA 6" is probably still a long way off.

"Grand Theft Auto 5" was released in 2013 and is undoubtedly one of the most popular and successful game titles of the 2010s. Although many players are still playing "GTA Online", fans are already looking forward to the next part of the franchise. What about "Grand Theft Auto 6"?
Publisher looks ahead to next year's games - GTA 6 is not there
There are a lot of rumors about "GTA 6" * about the release, the story, the game world and size - but the developers of Rockstar Games are holding back any official information. After all, publisher Take-Two now gave an outlook on the game releases that are imminent - more specifically, between April 2020 and March 2021 (via Dexerto.com). No word was dropped on "GTA 6" . Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick also spoke of a "thin" year in terms of new games releases. In the meantime, updates for "GTA Online" and "Red Dead Online" appear.
If a release of "GTA 6" were planned by 2021, the publisher would probably not speak of a "thin" year for investors. A release before March 2021 is therefore excluded. And even after that, it will be a while before the next "Grand Theft Auto" part appears.

GTA 6: Release could be several years in the future
The last big blockbuster title from Rockstar Games "Red Dead Redemption 2 *" was released in 2018. If you consider that there are five years between " GTA 5 " and " Red Dead Redemption 2 ", it is quite possible that we are for the next "Grand Theft Auto" can expect a similar waiting time. That would mean a release in 2023 .
Still, it doesn't have to mean that Rockstar will take so much time. Of course, fans hope that the wait will not be too long, but that " GTA 6 " will be one of the launch titles for the next-gen consoles PS5 * and Xbox Series X * is more than unlikely.
