Every 10 years a census is carried out in the United States and citizen participation is very important because with the data obtained, several very important things are determined, such as the number of seats each state receives in the House of Representatives.

They also help you know where to turn the billions of dollars that are distributed in federal support programs like Medicaid and Head Start, in addition to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

The participation of Latinos is very important and it is estimated that about 58 million are registered.

Due to the pandemic, the period of participation in the 2020 Census has been extended, since it would end on July 31, however, it will extend until August 14.

The best way to participate is through the internet, in the league: 2020census.gov/es, but there are other options such as phone calls and postal mail.
