Pedro Sanchez wants to save the tourist season of Spain, with the approach of the summer holidays. The Spanish Prime Minister has thus announced that foreign visitors could return to the country, badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, from July.
Spain had suspended the entry of tourists to its territory with the introduction of containment in mid-March.
"I am announcing that as of July, the entry of foreign tourists into Spain will resume under conditions of safety," declared Pedro Sanchez during a press conference, during which he also announced the resumption of the national soccer championship.
"The week of June 8, the resumption of major sports and professional competitions, and in particular La Liga, will be allowed," he said.
