Prime Minister Édouard Philippe announced on Thursday that rallies of more than 10 people remain impossible, despite the phase

Ten people maximum, this will remain the rule. According to announcements made on Thursday by the French government, the second phase of the deconfinement does not include a relaxation of the conditions for assemblies on the public highway.

Throughout the territory, they are allowed up to 10 people maximum. The rule will be in force at least until June 21, the end of this "phase 2", which begins on Tuesday, June 2.

Since May 11, the date of the first phase of deconfinement, gatherings of up to 10 people were allowed on the public highway. A limit that the government wanted to extend to the private space. But the Constitutional Council had revoked this measure, authorizing gatherings of more than 10 people in French housing, as well as in outdoor spaces "for residential use", such as interior courtyards.

Despite the reopening of parks and gardens, in particular, even in Île-de-France, where vigilance remains particular, the French will therefore have to limit public meetings.
