Even the guys are gentrified and bobois. American reigning over the production of cannabis in England, Mickey would like to cede his empire to the highest bidder and have a peaceful retirement. Problem, potential buyers also have an easy trigger. I would like someone to wait for me somewhere , a drama by Arnaud Viard, 1h29

For I would like someone to wait for me somewhere , Arnaud Viard skillfully wove together several short stories by Anna Gavalda. It is hand sewn. Good or bad, feelings make literature and cinema. The screen here overflows. It is not necessarily a fault. At the heart of a family led by Jean-Paul Rouve, Arnaud Viard leads this merry-go-round of destinies, melodies full of heads. Scandale , a drama by Jay Roach, 1h48

In France, the affair did not mark consciences. However the fall for sexual harassment, in the summer of 2016, of Roger Ailes, the emblematic founder of the American conservative news channel Fox News, constitutes a preamble to the Weinstein affair and to the #MeToo movement. Dynamic, Scandale retraces, without getting lost in procedural meanders, the fight of journalists who have challenged this toxic masculinity erected in corporate culture. " It doesn't matter that you love me, as long as you believe me ," proclaims one of them. Never a vindicator, Scandale does not place its heroines on a pedestal. The film does not water down the distrust of whistleblowers among themselves, their political views, or their reluctance to upset the status quo. An ambivalence without revisionism carried by a fabulous trio of actresses: Margot Robbie, Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman.

Adoration , a drama by Fabrice Du Welz, 1h38

As a lonely young boy, Paul meets Gloria, a young teenage girl interned in the psychiatric clinic where her mother works. He falls madly in love and then finds himself embarked on a flight that exceeds him. With Adoration , the Belgian director Fabrice Du Welz explores the power of love in all its forms, both positive and negative. By its style marked by the grain of the image and its management of light, the feature film offers the viewer superb reflective and calm shots in this frantic race. The two young actors, Thomas Gioria and Fantine Harduin, give themselves entirely to these complex characters and perfectly transmit the complexity of their relationship, but also of their beings. The spectator cringes, finds himself helpless before this madness, this uncontrollable psychosis ... and uncontrolled. Love has rarely done so much harm.
