(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JUNE 2 - The Agriculture Committee of the European Parliament has rejected, as insufficient, a part of the extraordinary measures proposed by the European Commission for fruit and vegetables and wine producers, penalized by the coronavirus crisis. In an arm wrestling that lasts for weeks, MEPs ask to correct some measures, but the European Commission replies that it can take new aid into consideration only after the approval of the first ones. The rejection vote must be confirmed by the plenary of the European Parliament. The resolution rejecting the delegated act of the European Commission was approved with 36 votes in favor against 11. If the plenary confirms the result, the European Commission should present a new proposal taking into account the indications of MEPs.
