A verified corona patient at a comprehensive school in Be'er Sheva was diagnosed this morning (Tuesday), prompting management to order the release of hundreds of students to their homes for preventative isolation until the infection was clarified and the Health Ministry terminated. About 2,000 students and about 200 teachers will be sent for isolation. At the same time, students in the Neve Desert Elementary School were also isolated because of a teacher who was found to be ill in Corona.

The Maccabi Health Fund has started a corona testing operation for 48 high school students and four staff members who were exposed to the patient directly. The students who were sent for isolation were summarily summoned to take the test in the designated laboratory in neighborhood T in the city. The results of the tests are expected tomorrow after laboratory testing and data verification.

In the last day, 7,838 tests were carried out in Israel to find the corona virus. To date, 17,219 people have been infected in Israel, of whom 14,915 have recovered. Of the patients, 40 patients are in moderate condition, and 31 are in serious condition. With the exception of one patient, all patients in serious condition are breathing. 1,915 patients are in mild condition and the rest have no symptoms. To date, 287 people have died from the Corona virus in the country.

Yesterday, it was decided that every school where a corona virus patient was identified would be closed. This is due to the increase in the number of diagnoses in the educational system. The Ministry of Education emphasized that if the school is being studied in separate buildings and areas, only partial closure will be considered. 

Remember, yesterday, a teacher at the Beit Yaakov Elementary School in Ashdod was diagnosed with someone who was infected with the Corona virus. As a result, the municipality ordered the school to be closed, and all students and staff were sent off for isolation. The educational institution will remain closed until Wednesday, and medical officials will conduct tests to find the virus.

Earlier in the day, two schools in Hadera and Givat Ze'ev were closed. At the multidisciplinary school in Hadera, 2,180 students and staff were sent to isolation after it was discovered that a seventh-grader was infected with a virus. In Givat Ze'ev, one of the school staff was diagnosed with the Corona virus, and the leadership of the community ordered the institution closed until June 10. 

The Ministry of Education guidance came a few days after the chain of adhesions at the Hebrew Gymnasium High School in Jerusalem, which led to a re-evaluation of the government. We note that 74% of all sick students and 35% of all staff infected with the virus were diagnosed in the Hebrew Gymnasium.
