Delta, Lufthansa and Air Canada will return flights to Tel Aviv from now on

After many months in which the major airlines were missing from Israel, three of them are already returning today to operate flights on lines to Tel Aviv. The companies returning to Israel are the American Delta, German Lufthansa and Air Canada.

Delta will fly to Israel from New York, Lufthansa from Munich and Air Canada from Toronto. These are regular passenger flights, not cargo flights, which we saw quite a bit during the Corona period.

The three companies announced their return a few weeks ago, when they still did not know whether there would be an isolation duty on entering Israel, and today they are fulfilling the promise and return to Israel, even though only Israeli citizens can enter the country now, and are also required to enter two weeks of isolation.

Over the next few weeks, more companies are expected to join and operate flights to Israel. Among the companies expected to fly to Israel very soon are British Airways, Turkish Airlines, and the Low Coast Rainier Company. The first Low Coast company to renew its flights to the country was Hungarian Wiz Air, which did so about a month ago.

Alongside the joyous news, Pinchas Idan, chairman of the Airports Authority's employees, threatens that if the Ministry of Health does not present an outline for the return of flights, all of the Airports Authority's employees will go on vacation, and Ben Gurion will work as Yom Kippur. On Sunday, a decision will be made between the decision makers and the airport authority, followed by significant decisions on the matter. The meaning of working on Yom Kippur is to cancel all flights to and from Israel, and to respond only to emergencies.
