(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 03 - For the first time in its history, the five of the 2020 Witch Prize will be announced, on account of the pandemic, in live streaming, on June 9 by the Cameradi Commercio di Roma - Sala del Tempio di Adriano. Starting at 18.30 on the Rai Cultura website (www.raicultura.it) and on that of the Strega Prize (www.premiostrega.it), the scrutiny cannot take place in the presence of the public, according to current health provisions, but the self-candidates, interviewed by Loredana Lipperini, writer and journalist for Radio3. The jurors will be able to cast their vote electronically by 1.00 pm on June 9th.
At the opening, the president of the Chamber of Deputies RobertoFico will announce the winner of the 2020 Young Witch Prize, proclaimed since the first edition in 2014 at PalazzoMontecitorio. The Prize is awarded by a jury of girls and boys between the ages of sixteen and eighteen from fifty-eight upper secondary schools distributed in eleven Italian regions and three cities abroad (Berlin, Brussels, Paris). The twelve book candidates for the Strega Prize compete for recognition.
With the announcement of the winner, the prize offered by BPER Banca Teen will also be awarded! A writing award to the author or author of the best review of one of the books in competition. (HANDLE).
