Last April, the National Procurement Division ordered about one and a half million N95 masks from an Israeli importer bought abroad and intended to be transferred to medical teams. For this purchase, the UAV paid about NIS 5 million. This is part of a procurement of medical equipment to deal with the Corona virus.

And here, after the shipment arrived in Israel and the UAV, suspicions emerged that these masks did not comply with the Ministry of Health's standards and were prohibited for use.

As part of the investigation, thousands of defective masks were searched. It should be noted that the defective masks were already identified in the cold process upon arrival in Israel and were not provided to medical teams.

In the search conducted as part of the investigation, thousands of defective masks were seized. It should be emphasized that the defective masks were already identified in the quality control process upon arrival in Israel and were not provided to medical teams.

The investigation is being conducted by the Police Fraud Unit and the Malambi Investigation Unit (the Security Commissioner for Defense), and is accompanied by the Economic Department of the State Attorney's Office.
