All 13 of the city's bathing beaches have been adapted for disabled people through walkways, showers and custom faucets.
About two weeks after the opening of bathing beaches in Israel, Wednesday, the Tel Aviv municipality announced that all bathing beaches will be accessible to the disabled up to the waterline.
All 13 of the city's bathing beaches are accessible to the disabled through specially built trails. For the disabled, handicapped parking, showers and fountains are also allocated along with cobblestone sheds, access roads and amphibious chairs designed for traveling on the sand, floating in the water and enabling bathing at sea.
The use of chairs will be possible during rescue service activities and with a user-friendly escort. Each of the 13 beaches will have two chairs. At the same time, a free app called step hear was developed to help the blind.
Tel Aviv-Jaffa is working hard to make the public space accessible to the city in a variety of ways, "Mayor Ron Huldai said.
Thanks to all this, those who are wheelchair-bound will be able to reach the sea, bathe in the water and enjoy all the services regardless of another person. Also, the trails will also help those arriving at the beach with baby strollers.
