The event, which begins Wednesday evening, will be held on the digital platform welovegreen.tv until Sunday.

In the time of the coronavirus, summer festivals are adapting. While theaters are reopening cautiously, it is still too early to allow these gatherings of tens or even hundreds of thousands of spectators in public. Like many of its peers, the Vincennes ecological wood festival We Love Green has chosen the digital route for its 2020 edition which will be held online from June 3 to 7.

Festival-goers of this ninth edition will be invited to watch concerts recorded at the Parc de Vincennes or in “green” places from their sofa, in the absence of an audience, on the We Love Green TV platform (www.welovegreen.tv). A digital and interactive map of the Floral Park will be published there, allowing internet users to navigate from one scene to another.

If the American Lana Del Rey, headliner of the 2020 edition before the Covid-19 pandemic, will not be able to participate, we can however count on Catherine Ringer, Lous and the Yakuza and Crystal Murray. "It's new and interesting ," enthusiastically the singer of Rita Mitsouko on Europe 1 Wednesday morning, a few hours before the recording of her performance. It's a bit like making a TV show .

A new session of electronic artist Rone will also be offered, as well as concert reruns of Beck, Metronomy and Courtney Barnett from previous editions.

True to the spirit of the festival, the organizers have also planned digital conferences on the theme of resilience with astrophysicist Aurélien Barrau and Indian eco-feminist Vandana Shiva.

The We Love Green TV platform will be reinvested throughout the year, because it is "a new experience of space and time that will lead us to the 10 years of the Festival, in June 2021" , promise the organizers. The names of the first artists who have already agreed to perform next year, for the ten years of the festival, will be revealed in the interactive map of the platform. Festival-goers who bought a ticket for 2020 can choose to be reimbursed or use it for the 2021 edition, which will be held on June 5 and 6 at Parc de Vincennes.
