Ella Lee's new single and persona is disgusted, so don't be surprised to get much more out of it in the near future • Review | Music

When it comes to pop stars, a safe recipe is a recipe for disaster.

  • Avoid originality. these are for me

Below is a winning recipe for a pop star.

Ingredients: A fresh musical reality show finalist, no first place winning.

Preparation: 1. Check that the figure is free of external defects. It is also important to check the date of production: usually those sprouted before 2001 are no longer due. The narrower the distance between extroverted sexuality and the age of the character, the more fine it is.

2. Make sure that the character presented in reality is separated from the star you want to sell. Remove from the future star any feature of grace or innocence, and add provocative clothing, phosphorescent colors and ridiculous haircuts. Don't hesitate to give the character a stage name. No need to make an effort, you can settle for a last name like Margie or a first name like Ella Lee.

3. Until the star is ready, occasionally bring it out, preferably on TV commercial breaks. The campaign will ensure that it stays in consciousness until it is ready for submission, and will also put you some money into the playlist.

4. Engage in a musical producer, preferably with a named J, like Jordi or Johnny, which will be cool. The producer must write a new hit with old influences. Make sure the lyrics of the song are embarrassing, silly, or make a bad name for the language - it's a test prescription for success.

5. Avoid originality. Original ideas can ruin the process.

The result of the "recipe" is familiar to all of us. Ella Lee (Blade) 's new single, Poor Zoot, is a prime example of everything written above. The more faithful the recipe work on the star, the worse the song and the more annoying the new persona.

• From Depression to Light: Ella-Lee Blade exposes everything

• Ella Lee Blade: "I'm afraid to disappear"

Ella Lee celebrated her 17th birthday with the song's departure, whose name only provokes disgust, not to mention listening to it. I mean, at the age of 16, she was singing "Not Looking For My Father Dabby," for all that implied, and to all the men around her in the studio, it seemed and sounded just fine.

Successful producer Johnny Goldstein (along with Ron Beaton and Scott Quinn) composed the song for her, which upon its release was blamed for a hit copy of the hit pop band MAMAMOO. Your ears might recognize a high resemblance to a Yeah Yeah Yeahs band, and don't be alarmed if your ears have actually found touches of "Barbie Girl" or "Oops! ... I did it again", because they are also very similar to the "New" song .

Why is it that "poor little" is more annoying than all the examples mentioned above? Simply because it is nothing new. It is colorful without contours, screams and bouncy with no content and has a text that competes for the title "Stupid Words in History". So here, the recipe was successful. Ella Lee Lahav's sweet character has given way to an obscure, banal and even daunting pop star, and this song is only the first in a series of instant hits that are utterly silly and stupid that she's about to cast on us. Expect injury.
