(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JUNE 4 - The White House is guarded by military police and law enforcement officers from various federal agencies while thousands of people have gathered in the capital to protest the death of George Floyd.
A Pentagon executive reported that there are at least 2200 men from the National Guard. The safety cord forms a ring around the perimeter of the Lafayette park, opposite the White House. The curfew starts at 11pm (5am in Italy). Previously hundreds of demonstrators had stretched across Pennsylvania Avenue repeating "I can't breathe," the phrase Floyd said before he died suffocated by a policeman.
