(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 09 - Surprise sestina of the Strega2020 Prize, led by Sandro Veronesi with 210 votes for his 'Ilcolibrì' (The ship of Theseus) in the vote of June 9 indirect streaming from the Temple of Hadrian in Rome, at cause of the pandemic. In second place on equal merit two Einaudi authors: Gianrico Carofiglio with 'The measure of time' and Valeria Parrellacon 'Almarina', both with 199 votes and followed by Gian ArturoFerrari with 181 votes for 'Italian boy' (Feltrinelli) and by Daniele Mencarelli with 'Everything asks for salvation' (Mondadori) with 168 votes.
Picked up with the safeguard clauses provided by the Management Committee, the first of the authors published by a small publisher who thus brings in Jonathan Bazzi and his 'Fever' (Fandango Books), which had 137 votes.
First of the excluded is Marta Barone with 'Città sommersa' (Bompiani) which had 142 votes.
The voters were 592 out of 660 eligible with a percentage of 89.60%. (HANDLE).
