Festivaletteratura, 2020 edition confirmed

(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 12 - The 2020 edition of the Mantua Festivaletteratura will take place as scheduled, from 9 to 13 September, but with an unusual formula.
    "2020 was a difficult year for everyone, and that of 2020 will necessarily be a festival in many ways unusual, animated by the intent and willingness to start meeting and confronting each other again. We are working on a live program with events with sometimes particular formulas and unusual, in total compliance with the rules of security and social distancing "the organizers underlined in a note. This edition will also be the first without Luca Nicolini, founder of the festival in 1997, who died at the age of 66 last May.
    "It will certainly be a less extensive program than usual, but we do not want to give up making Mantua a meeting place between authors and readers. At the same time, we are thinking of ways for us that are new, which allow us to bring the Festival to all those who this year they can be physically together too. And given that there are still many uncertainties - it would be foolish not to take them into account - it will be these alternative "spaces" that will allow us to give life to the Festival in any case, even if at the last minute we should be deprived of the places of the city we usually animate with our meetings.
